We are licensed therapists with experience helping adults, children, couples and families. We understand the challenges of raising kids while trying to stay connected to ourselves as individuals and as a couple as well. We don’t have a one size fits all approach. Instead, we’ll provide a customized plan that’s based on the unique personality and needs of you and/or your family.
Meet Our Therapists
Beth Desilets, LPC-S, RPT-S
I am the owner and founder of Insight Counseling Center. I am a trauma specialist, who is dedicated to helping individuals, families and children. I am a Registered Play Therapist – Supervisor and have specialized training in Play Therapy and trauma intervention. I am a member of the National Association for Play Therapy and the Texas Association for Play Therapy.
I strive to promote wellness and healing in an accepting and peaceful environment where clients can express concerns and share thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I am an interactive, client-centered counselor. My therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. My therapeutic approach is eclectic and collaborative in nature. I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I work with each client to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
My passion lies in learning about trauma and attachment and the impact each has on people, physiologically and psychologically. Instead of just focusing on a diagnosis, I like to look at each person’s strengths, resources and resiliency while also addressing symptoms.
Clarissa Elmalak, LCSW
Have you or your child been on a long, defeating and what seems to be a never-ending journey where you wished there was a rest area along the way just so you can simply pause your mind? Have you or your child thought that everyone else around you seems to have their life all figured out but yet somehow you don’t? Have you or your child longed for hope, peace, comfort, or even a miracle to change your circumstance? Fortunately, you’re not alone. In fact, many, if not most, have these same exact thoughts and feelings. My passion is to provide a safe and nurturing environment to help you or your child heal, grow, rest, and find solutions to the problems you may be facing.
From a young age, I have had a sense of compassion and empathy to strengthen others to find truth, counsel, and wisdom into who they were created to be. In my experience, you or your child want to be happy, find peace, enjoy life, be successful, feel good about yourself, and have satisfying relationships. As a therapist, my goal is to support you or your child to make changes that help you reach your goals and to give you renewed hope.
As a counselor for over ten years, my focus has been working with children, teens, and families treating anxiety, depression, anger, mood disorders, trauma, attention problems and adjustment disorders. I have experience working with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges, utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), play therapy, and solution focused treatment models in my practice.
Together we can find solutions to reduce your pain, suffering and even manage stress and overcome obstacles. I look forward to hearing your story and writing the next chapter with you!

Kamille Garcia, M.A., Certified School Counselor, LPC
I believe the resiliency of the human spirit is one of the great gifts of life. People can encounter times of adversity and emerge from these experiences stronger, and more insightful. I think people have the solution to their problems within themselves, and sometimes just need a little support. By providing a welcoming and trusting environment, you can discover that you are resilient, and capable of healing.
In today’s fast paced society, people can easily become distracted and overwhelmed by daily life stressors. Sometimes people focus on caring for others, and forget about their own wellness. They forget to invest the same amount of time, and nurturing in themselves as they do with others. In our sessions, we can reconnect with what is important to you.
I use several different techniques in counseling sessions that are geared towards your needs. I like to encourage people to use their own strengths and creative outlets to express themselves. Whether its through art, writing, play, or other activities, I find that it grounds us back to our inner self. As a professional school counselor, I am well versed in academic and behavioral intervention, goal-setting, and social skills. Areas I commonly address with students throughout the year are organizational skills, transitions, stress, communication skills, character education, and other various school related topics.
My goal is for children, families, and individuals to have a safe space to explore and work through their challenges together. Together we can rediscover yourself and your ability to heal and grow. I welcome you to take your first step in your journey of self-healing.
Taylor Ballard, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate
Supervised by: Maribeth Dennis, Ph.D., LPC, LMFT-S
I enjoy providing a non-judgmental and transparent therapeutic space for my clients to process through whatever life has thrown their way. My therapeutic training is in marriage and family therapy with in-depth training in theories that focus on system dynamics. I believe that life stressors do not just affect those who are experiencing them but also those who are supporting their loved one through the stressor. This is why I love working with families so that we can create change for everyone involved. My therapeutic approach is an integration of methodologies dependent on my client’s needs, which can be used in individual, couples, family, and group therapy. I primarily use Narrative Therapy and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy to help my clients process through what is holding them down. Together, we will focus on creating new narratives around life and develop more effective coping skills to manage current and future stressors. I look forward to helping you discover the strength and resiliency that is within you.
